All Bulgarians and friends of Bulgaria in DFW
are invited to an exciting meeting and conversation
with a very intersting Bulgarian, a writer, a publisher,
the founder of the project "Of the Alphabet Letters", the journalist Angel Kolev.
The Bulgarian books are his passion. He reads, distributes, and publishes them. His patriotic goal is to
support the publishing of at least one Bulgarian book annually. Those are books of fellow journalists, or
talented Bulgarian writers. This was the start of his project "Of the Alphabet Letters" in 2004. The books
are published in Bulgaria, by a Bulgarian professional team. With Angel's help the Bulgarian paperback
market opened doors for writers like Dilyan Todorov, Yoto Patzov, Nikloay Miltchev, Rumen Savov, Elena
Trifonova, etc. The initiative brings joy to his life and became his cause and passion.
Angel Kolev supports the publishing of Bulgarian literature and presents and markets Bulgarian writers and artists in America.
Thirteen books have been published so far, through the
project "Of the Alphabet Letters" . Angel Kolev distributes
them in the US. He states that there is a strong interest in the
Bulgarian modern literature in the US. Kolev uses his own
personal fundingfor this initiative.
Another huge passion: the travel adventures. Angel has visited more than 30 countries and as
many stated in the US. He will set foot in Texas for the first time, upon BACC "Bulgare"'s
invitation.
Angel Kolev has published two books
"99 pages of America"
and "Тhis is Alaska"
In his opinion, the most exiting places he had visited were:
Machu Picchu in the Andes Mountains of Peru, Strait of Magellan
in Patagonia, Chile, The Amazon in Manaus, Brazil, the Delta of
Rio de la Plata in Argentina and
Uruguay, New Zealand, Australia.
He travelled in Alaska - Feirbanks, Fort Yukon, Ancorage...
Naturally, Europe as well - Germany, France, Italy,
Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Chech, Poland,

He has written dozens of reports about his travels.
